My _Makeup_ Reviews :The Community Make-up Blog
I've been storing my makeup under the sink, in our tiny bathroom in my current apt, and it's been getting very cluttered and packed full...so, in an effort to not only clean up the space under the sink but also to create more storage, I bought this 3-drawer rubbermaid container. Unfortunately, it's too large to fit under the sink and it's not a strong enough plastic for the weight of all of that makeup...so at some point I'll be returning it in hopes of finding something better.
Firstly, here's how the underside of my sink looked...
I was really hoping that this 3-drawer container could fit under the sink on the left side and I could organize all of that loose stuff into it. But, it's too wide and I can't fit it in sideways or otherwise, either.
Despite all that, I still needed to do some organizing and just figured I'd find somewhere else to put the container.
-I like having all of my stuff close at hand where ever I end up doing my makeup...as it is right now, I'm having to go between a box of extra makeup in the livingroom, to grab something extra, and where I'm applying my makeup in the bathroom. Really annoying and time-consuming.
So here is the top drawer... my MAC MES and Metal-X cream shadows, my Urban Decay shadows, some Too Faced and Smashbox. This is my more 'High-End' drawer.
-This is the 2nd drawer... my NYX single shadows and a couple bottles of NYX pigment, my Milani shadows, some Hard Candy baked shadows, my L'Oreal 'On the Loose' pots of pigment, and my various L'Oreal HIP shadow duos.
And the last drawer...a collection of random shadows... 2 Sleek palettes, some glittery Revlon shadows, my 2 Wet'n'Wild palettes with some singles, some old Urban Decay liquid liners I'm trying to save.
I still have more makeup sitting around in boxes, but I grabbed up shadows that I use most and also those I want to start using more of again.
I love how organized these drawers are, but unfortunately, the plastic/rubber in this drawer-set is neither sturdy nor strong enough to handle the weight of all of this makeup. So when I pull a drawer out, it also drags out the drawer/s below it.
I think I'll end up having to return this and try to find something sturdier. Considering looking at those clear hard plastic organizers you can find at TJ Maxx sometimes. Hopefully it's rigid enough...but I think the last one I saw was smaller than this one is, unfortunately.
